The Development of Qatar Sports Club was a Qatar Olympic Committee Project under the supervision of KEIC. 

The project comprised of renovation and upgrading of the Qatar Sports Club and addition of new facilities.  Apart from the works in the main stadium, the scope for the project included construction of a new running track, repair of the main football field, training fields, car parking for 1000 cars, road works, water, irrigation, and electrical network, substation, water tanks, expansion of the multipurpose hall, and general refurbishment of the existing club house. Renovation and upgrading works carried out inside the stadium included full renovation of seating system, modification of VIP stand, construction of commentators and corporate boxes, construction of TV studio, construction of retaining wall all around the stadium, construction of new staircase and rearrangement of entrances, construction of spectators gathering and rest areas, metal cladding works to VIP canopy, improvement of stadium lighting system and all related M&E works.
