Dr. Ali A. Al Marri
( Managing Director )

Dr. Ali Al Marri is the owner and Managing Director of ALKHALEEJ ENGINEERING & INDUSTRIAL CONSULTANCY. A professional mechanical engineer by education and training with over 35 years’ experience in project development and execution in Qatar. Dr. Al-Marri earned his Master of Science Degree from Cranfield Institute of Technology in the year 1985 and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Wales, United Kingdom in 1990. Dr. Al-Marri began his professional career as an engineer in 1978 in the Ministry of Electricity and Water, and his career culminated in the position of Director of Programmes& Projects Department of the Ministry in the year 1991. He has also served as member in a number of official committees and project teams.

He has led his consulting engineering practice since 2001. He was the Director of Programmes& Projects Dept., Ministry of Electricity and Water, State of Qatar from 1990 to 1999. During this period, the Dept. executed projects worth approximately 10 Billion Qatari Riyals. The last government post he held was as an Adviser to H.E. The Minister of Energy, Industry, Electricity & Water on the Electricity and Water Affairs. He has also served as member in a number of official committees and project teams. He has travelled worldwide, and has attended numerous training courses and conferences, particularly in the fields of Power & Water Production & Transmission.
